I love our neighborhood!

I just walked into my favorite shop in the East Village on my way to Kmart on the hunt for cheap ribbon and christmas lights for next year, and saw they had their dog in there.  Of course, I had to pet Cadillac and we all began to chat...they had champagne :) and I mentioned our wedding and no plans for tonight..blah blah..blah...( hey I said I would stop complaining after tonight but give me tonight)...sooo...she gave me a dress! Gave me a gorgeous red silk and slinky sexy dress and said," now don't you dare stay home tonight." I <3 my neighborhood!! Of course, I had to buy a $15 dress out of the clearance bin to make my soul feel better for the gift, BUT two dresses for $15 get outta town! I doubt we are actually going to go out, but hey..who says I can't dress up for Jimmy:).

WE also got another jar for the candy table and our birdcage for cards for the wedding. I got my bridal pearls yesterday that I won through Vante Jewelry and Lydia at Ever Ours.com (aka the best bridal blog ever).

So good-bye 2010, you weren't so bad.  You brought new friends into my life and taught me how to grow and love again. You gave James the resources:) and courage to pop the question! And you brought two amazing babies into our lives and have watched over them closely.  You brought smiles and some tears, but overall you have been good to me except for that whole eeky 30 thing, but thank you!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! May this year be the best year of your life full of love, health, and success! I am sooo excited for 2011. My dreams are coming true in 2011:) ..thanks to my amazing fiance, friends, and family. I speak often that 2011 will be my year of Jubilee, and by all means like everything else tied to religion and faith Jubilee means a different thing to everyone. To me the year of Jubilee is when years of hardships and suffering have ended and God repays you in happiness, strength, and success. For me, I say this is my year, because ever since I was a little girl I believed in true love and was on a search for it. I have dreamt of becoming a bride and a wife my whole life. The only thing that can top this moment will be when I become pregnant. For that reason and for many tearful nights with Mr. Wrongs, I give my hardships and tears away for I have found Mr. Right in Mr. Tobin. I am not saying marriage is going to be easy and won't have it's hardships, but I know with him by my side and faith in my heart we can get through anything life throws at us.

In Key West, they lower a beautiful drag queen named Sushi in a bright red high heel onto Duval Street! What are you doing this New Year's? We're spending it with Daisy May watching the ball drop with a New Year's Eve kiss and toast!

Now for the Resolutions:

1. Be more positive. Try to find the good in all things, and believe in the plan.
2. No more complaining about money or things that are bothering me. There is someone always suffering or has it far worse than I do, and I need to remember that and be thankful for what I have today.
3.Wedding Dress ready body! This is going to be my most fit year ever. My first marathon here I come! Please someone send warm clothes:).
4.Save money! No more shopping until June...gonna be a hard one.
5. Be a better girlfriend/fiance. Be supportive.
6. Straight A's in school!
7. Nursing School Acceptance letter!
8. Take better care of myself.
9. Love my family and friends more! Call more often. Be a better friend even when they aren't. No more hard feelings and grudges.
10. Forgive my enemies from the past.

This is the year we're getting married!!! 9 more months to go! I can't wait!!!!!

Christmas has come and gone

Since James and I got engaged almost 1 year exactly before our wedding date, everyone keeps on insisting we have "so much time and that it's too early for this and that." Well...people and close friends...remember on Halloween when you said," I can't believe there is Christmas decorations up already and how it is too soon?"...but then you were that last minute shopper buying the best gift you could find at a 24/7 Kmart on Christmas Eve? My point...it's 9 months...still no excitement from friends and family. I get it. It's our wedding...it won't be as important to anyone...and I understand everyone lives over 100 miles away from us...but it still makes me sad that the best time of my life is spent calling, facebooking, and emailing friends and family member to try to get them involved. Which is comical because I wanted to elope and James said," no we should bring our friends and family together to celebrate our big day...that it would be nice to have everyone together." Frustrating...this is the part where I end venting about the people in my life...It's my New Year Resolutions to not complain and to not complain about money we are spending to have this celebration...to be more positive..so this is my last vent. I understand why they serve wine at so many pre-wedding events now! grrrrr...

NOW...I do have a lot to be grateful for and I know in my heart God has a plan for me and James. So for that I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and I wish everyone love, joy, health and happiness in this coming year of Jubilee. AND I wish we lived closer to friends and family so I wouldn't have to vent to cyberspace about the lack of engagement, bridal showers, and overall support! :) Much love to anyone who actually is reading this...Mwwwaaahhhh. Whhhooooaaass me I know:) I'm done. Last complaint!

BTW..it's our anniversary..our last dating anniversary soon to be replaced with our wedding anniversary next year. James is working...:( and no big plans for tonight or tomorrow for that matter...may be to blame for my somber mood this evening but I blame Cinderella and Bella Swan...both fictional fall over themselves and fight the dragon/um..vampire?...for setting the bar so freaking high!

Just a few ideas...

Veil or not veil this is the question

So...I have been going back and forth about the idea of a veil. First side...what is a bride without a veil!? When else am I going to have the opportunity in my life to where a veil? And I can take it off after the ceremony. Other side...I will have flowers in my hair and may not wear my hair up...what if it's windy...hmmmmm....decisions...if I win the lottery tomorrow I will buy one and decide at my hair trial! But here are a few hairstyles I have eyed....

But where have all of the blogs gone:)

Hi Everyone! Sorry...I have missed my weekly blogs. We recieved our candy buffet jars and picked the candy...yum! Of course we are waiting to deliver it until next summer so I do not eat it all!! I think we are getting closer to bridesmaid dresses. Woohoo. Some exciting non-wedding news. We have a niece! Peyton Elizabeth and Reid has his first tooth! Both mommys have their hands full I am sure. Christmas is a short week and a half away, and James and I are looking forward to spending the holiday together. Hope all is well, and I will upload pictures soon!

Our amazing vendor sent us a wedding cake sampler to decide which flavors we would like. She overnighted us the treats of all types, and we have come to a conclussion. Shhhh...it's a secret, but I will tell you there is a key west twist to it:). Here are a few pictures I love. Also, I found new cheap rates for Hotels if anyone is ready to book!! Thanks for reading.

Centerpieces, Shoes, Earrings, oh my

HiEveryone! I made my first attempt at the centerpieces and..eh ...there not that bad. It's not as easy as I thought it would be, but I def think it's doable! I also got my shoes and earrings:). James has been amazing. He is very supportive and helpful. We're going to take advantage of the deals this week and buy our supplies for the wedding. After mailing the save-the-dates today and buying the supplies next week, I 'll have a lot of craft projects to start. We're making the escort cards out of shells and making a "de-sanding station." We are also making our programs. My break from school should be fun!

Thanks Melissa and Mama Second for the postcards! They are going to make beautiful tablecards!
Thanks for reading. Enjoy the pictures!!!
